Overview

Welcome to Schriever AFB! The 50th Force Support Nonappropriated Fund Human Resource Office administers the NAF personnel program, advising and helping with management needs, and resolving personnel concerns. In addition, the NAF HR Office ensures programs and actions comply fully with the spirit and intent of laws, regulations, and policies.  This office will maintain applications on file for up to 90 days and applications are accepted on a continual basis for all positions, although this does not mean the position(s) is/are vacant. Regular category employees are guaranteed a minimum of 20 hours per week and are eligible for benefits (annual leave, sick leave, retirement, 401-K, etc.). Flexible category employees are not guaranteed work hours, may work 0-40 hours per week, and do not receive benefits.

Who May Apply

    • Any individual who is a U.S. citizen or authorized permanent resident may apply for employment.
    • Proof of citizenship or authorization to work must be presented prior to being hired.
    • Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.  Some positions have specific age requirements, i.e., to operate machinery, minimum age is 18, and minimum age to handle alcoholic beverages is 21.
    • Applicants under the age of 18 must provide a work permit authorizing them to work.

Application forms are maintained on file in the NAF-HRO for 90 days. You may call the NAF-HRO prior to the expiration date and request they be extended for an additional 90 days.

Application Submission Tips

    • Make a master application and photocopy it to apply for several positions. Leave the position and signature lines blank.
    • Attach any paperwork needed for hiring preferences such as military spouse, family member or veteran's preference.
    • Be specific and give details about previous work experience. Write down everything that could help you qualify for the position, including any volunteer work you may have done. You may wish to add a separate sheet of paper for additional work experience.
    • Fill out your application completely. We need your address and phone number to contact you if we select you for a position.

Continuously Open Positions

Applications are always accepted for these positions, although there may not be a current vacancy.  Your complete application is valid for 90 days, and you will be referred for the position you apply for, if there is a vacancy during that time frame.
