New Boston Recreation Area

Child Development Center

Overview

Welcome to New Boston Air Force Station (NBAFS), located in New Hampshire, approximately 25 miles north of the Massachusetts State line, and home to the 23rd Space Operations Squadron (23rd SOPS). At NBAFS you will find more than 2600 acres of beautiful rolling hills that offer outstanding recreational opportunities.

Just one hour north of Hanscom AFB, New Boston AFS sits tucked away in a pristine, undeveloped area of rural New Hampshire.

Boston Recreation Area Camp GroundsThe majority of New Boston Air Force Station’s 2600-plus acres consist of undeveloped forest, which encircles the campground, one of only two FamCamps in New England. There are 46 campsites scattered around four ponds, affording a true outdoor experience without overcrowding or noise. The scenic beauty of the Station rivals any state park.

ATTENTION

All camping and recreational activities are closed at this time due to environmental remediation activities. Please contact Outdoor Recreation at (603) 471-2451 for more information.
