Make your lodging reservations now for SnoFest, January 27-29, 2012 at Keystone Resort, where Peterson AFB, the US AF Academy, Schriever, Buckley and FE Warren Air Force bases host this annual premier military appreciation snow sports weekend. Families will enjoy ski and snowboard races for teams and individuals, great parties on both Friday and Saturday nights, and super awards and prizes.

Friday, Jan. 20, is the final day to purchase SnoFest party tickets at Schriever's ITT office. These tickets are sold only in advance, and must be purchased at any of the participating bases. The Schriever AFB ITT counter is open 7:30 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Friday; closed Saturdays and Sundays. You can find them in Bldg. 300, Rm 133. Call (719) 567-6050 for additional information.
 
Wednesday, Jan. 26, is the final day to register for SnoFest races. Peterson AFB won the Commanders Cup last year.  Unless Schriever gathers an ace team, Peterson could keep the coveted trophy for another year. If you have questions, call (719) 556-7874.

There is no pre-registration, fee or sign up required to enter your vehicle in the Cardboard Derby, which will be held at 4 p.m. on Saturday. Many organizations and families start their entry at home and transport it the event, but materals are provided onsite for you to build your own vision. School Age Program is accepting reservations for child care during school-out days

A very limited number of slots are still available in the Schriever School Age Program, so contact the Schriever Child Development Center at 567-4742 as soon as possible to reserve for your child(ren).

In addition to Before and After School Care during the regular school year, the program is available to children in ALL school districts on school-closure days such as Parent-Teacher conference days, when weather closes schools but not Schriever AFB, etc. Your children will enjoy structured activies, USDA-approved menus, and field trips! Children of Active Duty Members, DoD employees paid with NAFs or APFs, contractors and reservists on active or training status are eligible.
